Central African Republic GDP to grow by 5 pct in 2016: IMF

BANGUI (Reuters) - Central African Republic's economy is expected to grow by 5 percent in 2016 and increast to 5.7 percent by 2021 as it seeks to rebuild following years of crippling inter-religious conflict, the International Monetary Fund (IMF) said on Friday. The IMF did not provide a growth figure for last year, but the Central Bank of Central African States said in March the landlocked country's GDP had expanded by 4.9 percent in 2015.
