Chadder review
Chadder is an encrypted messaging application. However, the limited communication features and sluggishness of the navigation leave more to be desired.
Pros
Safe, fast communication: The private chat sessions are protected with PKI encryption, but this did not interfere with messaging, as we were able to have text conversations at a comparable speed to other messengers during our tests.
Straightforward design: Chadder does not offer a very attractive design, but instead capitalizes on its plain, uncluttered interface, which puts nothing between you and your messaging.
Cons
Only text communication: Being that Chadder is a young application, it does not offer many features. The lack of photo or video messaging is a major restraint and will detract from your overall experience, but these options should become available in the future.
Slow response: We noticed that while messages are sent and received rather quickly, the Chadder application itself can be slow at times. It does not load profiles or searches at a reasonable speed, and it appeared to hesitate for a few moments before responding to our input.
Bottom Line
Chadder offers a great service, especially for being a new application, but there are still many more features that we would like to see included. Download Chadder if you want to protect your messages, but keep in mind that more full-featured applications are available.
