'Champagne Room' and Doggie Jerseys: How the Obamas Throw a Super Bowl Party

While you were snacking on nachos and wings as the Broncos played to ultimate Super Bowl 50 victory on Sunday, the President and the First Lady were doing, well – pretty much the same, exact thing.

America's first couple hosted their "regular group of friends" for the annual viewing party at the White House, the pair told CBS This Morning before the big game.

"We all go upstairs at the residence, in the Treaty Room, which is my office," President Barack Obama told Gayle King.

And in the room? Quite a spread. " Let's Move is off the table," joked Michele Obama.

A social media producer for the morning show even managed to sneak a peek at the viewing party's menu. With themed snacks for each team, the Obama family munched on Carolina pulled pork sliders with creamy slaw, German beer brats and smoked baby back ribs.

Guests could even indulge their sweet tooth at a build your own sundae bar.

"Basically we have sort of three ways that we do the Super Bowl," Michelle explained. "We have the serious watchers, and that's the Treaty Room, where if you're in the room you're watching the game. Then there's the outside room where the kids are... and then there's what I call the 'Champagne Room,' that's where my mother sits, where you really don't know whats going on but you're close to the champagne. That's where grandma is."

Our Favorite Celebrity Super Bowl Commercial Cameos

The president, who threw around the old pigskin on the White House lawn during the lead up to the Super Bowl, said his family is "like everybody else" when it comes to the commercials.

"Folks rate [the ads]," he told King.

Michelle's main focus, however, was pal Beyoncé's performance during Coldplay's halftime show.

"I care deeply about the halftime show," Michelle joked. "I got dressed up for the halftime show. I hope Beyoncé likes what I have on."

Other household fashionistas? The Obama's Portuguese water dogs Bo and Sunny.

Both pups donned their own, personalized jerseys for "game time."

While the president was wrong on his secret prediction of a Panthers win, we're hoping the champagne room dulled his disappointment.
