    Channing Tatum In Talks To Star & Produce Evel Knievel Movie

    He's been a stripper, a soldier and an undercover cop on the big screen - and now Channing Tatum is in talks to play the world's most famous daredevil.

    According to the Hollywood Reporter, the "Magic Mike" star is in talks to star and produce a movie about legendary daredevil Evel Knievel.

    "Fifty Shades of Grey" movie producers Mike DeLuca and Dana Brunetti (the team who also produced "The Social Network") are set to bring the project to the big screen.

    Evel Knievel became famous in the '70s for his death-defying motorcycle jumps, his trademark Stars-and-Stripes outfit and for breaking 433 of his bones.

    The movie will be based on Stuart Barker's 2008 book "Life of Evel."

    Channing's take will not be the first time the story of the showman has been brought to the big screen. George Hamilton first played the daredevil in 1971's "Evel Knievel" and the stuntman himself starred in 1977's "Viva Knievel!"
