Chaz Bono's 'Dancing with the Stars' Spot Bringing Out the Bigots

Correction. DTWS bringing out the perverts...

Just would like to know at what point during the dancing would lifesyle be demonstrated? So I guess the rumored heterosexual affairs drove you away? Aren't those also a sin? Oh my gosh there is also revealng clothing and a whole plethora of "sins" Why is the show still on the air let alone such an admitted fan favorite? Apparantly, transgender people dancing is a sin but gay people aren't? If you are taking a stand you are about 13 seasons late. Have at it.

To the people who think that Chaz is 'flaunting', and that the LGBT community is too visible on TV shows, in public, and flaunt themselves in people’s faces:

I think you have it twisted because it is Straight people who FREQUENTLY cram their sexuality down society’s throat (and many think it is sinful and immoral), while Gay people and LGBT community occasionally do it, and we see BOTH orientations do it in the following ways:

Stating their sexual orientation, acknowledge their husband, wife, significant other, family, kiss, touch, wear tight/skimpy clothing, hold hands, bump/grind, all of which is done in public, TV, videos, etc.,

If Straights have the right to do these things, then Gays and the LGBT community should also have that right, OR create a law to prevent EVERYONE (ie. Straights, Gays, LGBT, Religious people, etc.) from ‘flaunting’ in public.

The reason a person doesnt feel their gender is probably a hormonal inbalance rather than a perverse decision. This person obviously felt male rather than female due to this inbalance. So with that said Dance your heart out Chaz!!

The outrage by some that Chaz will be on DWTS is just another example of Bigotry raising it’s ugly head. As a Christian myself, it is amazing and sad to see many so-called religious people (including some Christians) being ignorant, bigoted, and hateful HYPOCRITES who will pick and choose from their religious book (ie. Bible, Koran, etc.) based on their prejudices, bigotry, hate, and/or ignorance. For example, many Christians say the Bible is the ‘Holy Word Of God’ and must be followed for verses and interpretations that support their PERSONAL position on a subject, but IGNORE and do not follow the Bible when passages do not support their positions. Two Points.

1. To the people who OPPOSE Chaz being on DWTS: When it is all said and done, and the curtains are pulled open and the ‘smoke and mirrors’ are pushed away, it appears to be VERY CLEAR that Bigotry, Hate, Prejudice, and/or Ignorance are the reasons you do not want him on the show, and you should look in the mirror, be honest, and acknowledge that you exhibit many of the following traits of a Bigot:

*The bigot can be male or female and typically knows little about, and UNEDUCATED about, the people who are the objects of his bigotry, only that he hates them indiscriminately.
*The bigot thinks that somewhere, somehow, there is a good reason for his bigotry. His problem is that any reasons he has are often twisted and selected by his hate.
*The bigot uses lies and half-truths because they prevent his having to apply reason and understanding to the subject, for his hatred is the reason for his reasons.
*The humane faculties of sympathy and compassion are usually foreign to the bigot.
*The trick of the bigot is to select from those who suffer his bigotry a few examples of those who are undoubtedly bad or mad, and then stereotype and say they are all like that.
*The bigot will often choose bigotry, ignorance, and hate over intelligence, education, and love.
*The bigot’s attitude usually prevents rational discussion. All his pronouncements derive, not from evidence, but from his fear, ignorance, and/or hatred.
*The bigot is everywhere – ESPECIALLY with many so-called religious people, who are often expressing their irrational and hypocritical hatreds, and hiding behind and blaming religion in an attempt to justify their Bigotry.

You can continue to desperately cling to your Bigotry, but DON’T expect everyone else to follow in your footsteps. Everyone is entitled to their religious and non-religious opinions and beliefs, but their opinions/beliefs should NOT DENY others Equal Rights (including the LGBT community) and the SAME respect that they would expect from others. Also, if you live in America you should understand and respect the fact that in the U.S. we live in a democracy and NOT a theocracy.

2. Congratulations Chaz, and I wish you continued success in life and on DWTS . . .

I just wonder if Chaz Bono is a bit too heavy for such exertion. Everybody who meets him says he's a nice guy to have a beer with--and it would be shame for him to injure his health.

We've preached "tolerance" of everything. We've tolerated out way into moral ruin in this county. It isn't about discrimating against someone, it's about upholding Biblical morals. God doesn't make mistakes! This is absolutely a choice.

Uneducated people leave hateful comments about things they do not understand. You have a choice not to be ignorant. Please educate yourself and stop spreading your hate. You are only heaping sorrows upon yourself in the long run.

I will still watch DWTS. I've had to endure Sir Pauls' mistake, she was the worst! As for Chaz, he is now Cher' son. Cher had a hard time in the beginning, as most any mother would.
It's Chaz' life, and I hope he will find the happiness he's looking for. Transgender people have a whole process to go through, including intensive counseling, hormone therapy, living as the selected gender, and surgery if they so choose. All along the way they are in a program under a team of doctors, therapists, and surgeons, etc. Not cheap and not easy!
