    CHCP-The College Of Health Care Professions Announces New Online Health Information Technology Programs

    Health Information Technology Certificate and Health Information Technology and Management Associates Degree Programs Now Offered Online

    Houston, TX (PRWEB) February 13, 2012

    The College of Health Care Profession’s CEO Mr. Jon Emerald announced today that the school is now offering two Health Information Technology Programs focused on preparing students for the growing needs of healthcare providers as they advance their health information coding and electronic health records systems. CHCP’s Health Information Technology Certificate and Health Information Technology & Management Associates Degree programs are being offered exclusively online with an additional professional work environment externship.

    “We are thrilled to now offer these highly sought after Health Information Technology certification and degree programs online at CHCP so students can pursue an education and further their careers in this growing field at their convenience,” said Emerald.

    Through the Health Information Technology Certificate Program, which can be completed in 16 months with an externship, students will develop in-field experience coding skills in the Virtual Lab, as well as hands on experience with industry Electronic Health Records. Graduates can qualify to take the Certified Coding Associate Exam (CCA) offered by The American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA). Further, students completing this program have the opportunity to apply to the AAS in Health Information Technology, and have the potential to complete the program in 8 months.

    The Health Information Technology Management Associates Degree, which includes a professional externship which can be completed in as little as 24 months. Upon completion of the program, students will develop industry experience in areas such as Medical Records Management, Electronic Health Records, Meaningful Use, and Medical Coding in the Virtual Lab, as well as hands on experience in Revenue Cycle. Graduates can qualify to take the CCA Certified Coding Associate Exam (CCA) offered by The American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA).

    With a College of Health Care Professions online degree, students have the independence to advance their education and careers while maintaining their busy schedules. Students enrolled in the online program have 24/7 access to coursework and 24/7 IT support, when necessary. Students who choose to complete their degree online are supported in the classroom by a dedicated faculty member, but then assisted by a Professional Student Services Advisor who provides individualized and personalized service for the duration of the student’s program.

      I totally agree! I wouldn't recommend The College of Health Care Professions. The instructors are very unprofessional as well as the employees. Enroll at your own risk! You may not get your certificate after putting hard work, time, and money. I agree 100% The College of Health Care Professions is a big joke!

      Don't go to this school! I went to this school. They are very unprofessional. This school is a joke. It use to be called The Academy of Health Care Professions and now just recently it is called The College of Health Care Professions, what school changes their name? Are they trying to hide something?? This school makes me not trust another college ever again. Don't waste your time and money.
