Check Out Photos & Videos From Third Man Records’ Detroit Opening
Back in June, we reported that Jack White was planning to open a branch of Third Man Records, his Nashville headquarters, in his Detroit hometown. And over the weekend, he did it. Third Man now has a new store and an about-to-open pressing plant in Detroit’s Cass Corridor neighborhood, and The Detroit News reports that hundreds of customers waited for hours in pouring rain to get into the store on Friday. The opening festivities included performances from people like Detroit garage-rock legends the Gories, Jack White fiddler Lillie Mae Rische, and Detroit punks Timmy’s Organism. Below, check out a few photos and videos from the opening.
