After a year of construction and holding classes in the professional culinary school in Gaithersburg, MD, L’Academie de Cuisine’s Recreational Cooking classes moved back to their permanent home in Bethesda, MD. Chef Francois Dionot stated that “the new kitchens are reflective of the quality that will allow us to create an elegant atmosphere of high-quality education.”
Gaithersburg, MD (PRWEB) July 20, 2011
The new kitchens are set up for hands-on cooking classes on the first and second floors and there is a demonstration classroom on the first floor for our guest chefs, special classes, and dinners as well as parties. L’Academie can also accommodate 20 guests for birthday or engagement parties, bridal showers, and 60 for corporate events as well as Team Building Classes.
Plans for the new space include a Guest Chef Series, Food Photography, Nutrition and Food Writing Skills.
Since 1976, L’Academie de Cuisine has offered over 1000 recreational cooking classes at two locations in Gaithersburg and Bethesda Maryland. Other areas of study include professional culinary development, continuing education and private events. http://www.lacademie.com/.
Also, in 1976, L’Academie designed for students who want a formal education in order to pursue a career in the field of culinary and pastry arts. In 2005, L’Academie was named one of the “Top Ten” Culinary Schools in the United States. The Culinary Arts and Pastry Arts Programs (daytime and evening) provide a course of study in the theory and techniques of classic French cuisine with an emphasis on fine food planning, preparation, and presentation. L’Academie de Cuisine offers small class sizes so students receive personal attention and expert instruction under the direction of European and American trained chefs. The professional program includes a paid externship for students to work in fine-dining restaurants, hotels and bakeries. An application is available on LAC’s website.
