    Chicago Web Design Company Begins Work On CDW Memorial Foundation Website

    DjO Design Group announces the creation of the Christopher D. Wheatley Memorial Foundation website. This website and an annual golf fundraiser will help support and provide opportunities for individuals who demonstrate honorable service to others as a reflection of Christopher D. Wheatley’s life.

    DjO Design Group, a Chicago web design company, today announced the start of creating a website for the Christopher D. Wheatley Memorial Foundation based in Lemont, IL. The CDW Memorial Foundation is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit public charity created after Chicago Firefighter and Paramedic Christopher D. Wheatley, 31, died while fighting a restaurant fire on August 9, 2010.

    Chris was an inspirational individual who lived a life devoted to serving his community, family and friends. A dedicated Chicago Firefighter, Chris also worked with STARTGroup in his spare time teaching proper emergency response techniques to municipal/plant employees. Chris was also an instructor at University of Illinois Chicago to medical students, teaching proper emergency techniques, and also volunteered his time to a variety of organizations.

    “I never met Christopher but based on how his mother Mary described him and all that he did, I felt obligated to help in any way we could”, said Dariusz Owca, cofounder of DjO Design Group. He added, “We want to give his family the ability to continue where Chris left off and continue giving to the community.”

    The website construction is underway and will contain information about the public charity, pictures of fundraising events, and the ability for the public to make tax-deductible donations to their scholarship fund. In 2011, the CDW Memorial Foundation distributed over $12,000 in scholarships and firefighter charities. In 2012, the Christopher D. Wheatley Memorial Foundation will have its second annual golf fundraiser at Cog Hill golf course in Lemont, IL., located just 30 miles southwest of Chicago.

    “We’re excited about the CDW website because it’s a great cause and because some of our existing clients would make great sponsors for their golf outing”, said Dariusz. Flood Specialists, Inc., a Chicago Fire & Water Damage Restoration company is one of these companies who has recently agreed to be a sponsor in the 2012 CDW Memorial Foundation golf fundraiser. “We’re doing more than just building websites, we’re working ‘for’ our clients”, said Dariusz. He added, “When I told Flood Specialists about the golf fundraiser, they didn’t hesitate and wanted to be a part of it”.

    The website will be located at http://cdwmemorialfoundation.org and http://chriswheatley.org and will focus on the CDW Memorial Foundation. DjO Design Group will also create a website at http://golf-fundraiser.com for golf fundraising events where all non-profit organizations can have a place to publish their golf events and photos.
