Chick-fil-A awards 37 Pensacola students with over $60,000

PENSACOLA, Fla. (WKRG) — Chick-fil-A is helping local students continue their education.

Three of the Pensacola-area restaurants are helping 37 students and Chick-fil-A team members by providing them with a check totaling $62,000 before the first pitch (at around 3:30 p.m.) of the Pensacola Blue Wahoos game on Sunday, April 28.

LOCATION:

The awarded students are from the following Pensacola restaurants:

  • Chick-fil-A Navy Boulevard: 15 recipients

  • Chick-fil-A Nine Mile Road: 11 recipients

  • Chick-fil-A Bayou Boulevard: 11 recipients

According to a press release, the check was awarded through Chick-fil-A’s Remarkable Futures Scholarships program which gives restaurant team members the opportunity to apply for college scholarships.

“These scholarship recipients are dedicated Chick-fil-A Team Members from local stores, selected among thousands of applicants nationwide,” according to the release.
