This is not a good thing

We must stop the trickle that has become a river by buying Chinese products. They (China) are buying commodities ,utilities and buying them in Canada the Euoepean Union and any where else they can get them and are not buying Bonds,They are buying assets. Every time you buy something made in China you risk loosing your freedom

Looks like China is beating us at our own game... capitalism.

Just another sign that the Communist policy of China is to buy and control as much of the world's energy as they can. Wake up people... when you buy items, made in China.

Stop feeding the China Monster that grows stronger each day with all your hard earned tax dollars . Tell your congressman to stop giving tax breaks to US companies that move to China

China earns their money by unfairly manipulating their currency, stealing intellectual properties around the world, and hacking western company’s computers for new technologies. It is not a petty theft any more; it is a threat to our security. While politicians do not have time to deal with this danger because they are too busy with reelections, China-thief is buying our strategic assets.

china needs to be reined in, but who has the cash to do that?

I've often wondered why our government doesn't buy this sort of thing before the chinese. If we Americans owned it and the pipelines......it's better than giving the money away.

Right now, gas & oil firms are trying to push an LNG pipeline to the Oregon coast and a new terminal to be built at Coos Bay. Once that goes through, that big sucking sound in the West will be Canadian & American gas whooshing to Asia at (much higher) world market prices. Kiss the last bit of domestic manufacturing goodbye once we lose that competitive advantage.

We've let the 1 percent shoot the American worker in the foot once too often.

china loans us money so we can bomb other countries. they then take the payments and buy oil. who wins from all this?

American government and corporations have placed the Chinese before the American people and their own country......

Very wise strategy from China. China Grabs oil and energy through state sponsered entities and through silent acquisitions by just spending couple billions each all over world. While USA spends trillions to invade and on wars. Costly and not smart move for USA. Learn from it.

When the government of China owns something in the U.S., does that mean that the U.S. business community becomes part of a communist system?

Forget Spanish lessons, Chinese will soon be our primary language.

Stop complaining and avoid "made in China" products. Find an alternative people, I do.

I guess those Canadian job creators are creating jobs for the Chinese. The Chinese are rebuilding the railroad that traverses Africa from the Atlantic ocean to the Indian ocean to reap the abundance of natural resources in sub Saharan Africa.

we are on the verge of wwlll and most of the world is to dumb to see it,we let all the rich from other nations take over our fortune 500 companys and they get the latest electronics for their use and turn on us ,

What did you think China was going to do with your money,keep buying our debt? You know,the debt accumulated from these unfunded wars so the wealthy could be entitled to tax cuts. Wars get paid for with tax hikes!!!
The sad part is,we will continue to buy their products and we will continue giving them money. All while millions of jobs keep going there as well!!! And who was it that said communism is a failure? With this kind of ignorance,it's only a matter of time before they overtake us (if they haven't already).

Whatever happens to the American standard of life can only be blamed on the American people for failing to put a stop to the hemorrhaging of our economy! We are our own worst enemy for remaining complacent and lethargic. Our two party system is not working and hasn't been for years! Our free enterprise system has been short-circuited since the Bank, GM and Chrysler buyouts. Doing so sent a clear strong message to the mom and pop business sector telling them that they are small enough to fail, thus brand them as "unimportant" to our business infrastructure. That amounted to us shooting ourselves in the foot! In a free enterprise system, NO ONE should be "too big to fail". That being said, America, as we knew her, is no more! America will remain a dormant giant in the eyes of other countries until we wake up and take our country back from the crooked and greedy politicians who "lead" us to hell!
