Chris Martin is said to be planning to use Coldplay’s Superbowl gig to prove how smoothly his split from Gwyneth Paltrow has turned out.

The Oscar-winning blonde has been rumoured to be the singer’s ‘date’ for Sunday night when his band will headline the iconic half-time slot of the US sports extravaganza.

Gwyneth, 43, is expected to be in a box at Levi’s Stadium in California with Chris’ family, pal Jay-Z – whose wife Beyoncé is also performing – and their kids Apple and Moses.

The couple – who split in 2014 and coined the much-maligned phrase ‘consciously uncoupling’ in the process – are said to be “hugely mature” about getting together at huge public events to show they are friends for the sake of their children.

A source has been quoted saying: “Chris and Gwyneth want to send the message there is no bad blood between them.”

Gwyneth admitted last week she and Chris are now like brother and sister.

She said: “We’re still very much a family, even though we don’t have a romantic relationship. He’s like my brother.”

It hasn’t been confirmed is whether 38-year-old Chris’ new girlfriend – actress Annabelle Wallis, 31 – or Gwyneth’s new bloke, 44-year-old TV writer Brad Falchuk, will be enjoying the Superbowl as one happy family.
