Chris Paul Breaks Finger During Practice

Chris Paul has another injury he has to get over before the season even starts.

DeAndre Jordan had the first highlight of the preseason when he threw down a reverse alley-oop. The dazzling sight makes it easy to forget the greatness of the Chris Paul pass that led to it. You have to note that precision, that ability, and that excellent use of all 10 of his fingers.

Unfortunately, Paul is down to nine good ones. The Clippers' website reports that the guard fractured his left index finger during Saturday practice in China. Austin Rivers is also sidelined after getting his bottom five teeth knocked out in Friday practice.

There's no word on just how long Paul will be out, but he'll at least miss the next preseason game. The good news, at least for fans of dunking, is that Jordan doesn't really need Paul for alley-oops. He threw down a monster last night thanks to an assist from the immortal Pablo Prigioni.
