Chris Pratt to Star in Cowboy Ninja Viking

According to sources at Collider, Chris Pratt, the star of the wildly-successful Guardians of the Galaxy film, is set to star in a new comic book film, based off the 2009 book COWBOY NINJA VIKING. The book was created by writer A.J. Lieberman and artist Riley Rossmo.

The film has been in various stages of pre-production for quite some time. Paul Wernick and Rhette Reese, the writers of Zombieland, wrote the original script, which Disney thought was too edgy. Universal picked up the film afterwards. Currently, there is no director attached to the film.

In COWBOY NINJA VIKING, people with three distinct multiple personalities are transformed, by a doctor, into "The Triplets," which are then used in a counter-intelligence program. Duncan is one of these people and his split personalities are a cowboy, ninja, and viking. Duncan breaks free and decides to hunt down the man who created the Triplet program.

According to Collider's source, the film plans on having all three personalities manifest themselves on the screen as different people, when Duncan switches personas, but everyone else just sees Duncan (Pratt). That's an interesting take for the film and will really give the viewer a chance to see through the main character's eyes.

No news yet on when Cowboy Ninja Viking plans on being released.
