Christina Grimmie's brother Marcus, who tackled the gunman who fatally shot the singer on Friday night, has paid tribute to his sister on Facebook.

"Christina was more than my sister. She was a partner in life. A superstar. A goofball. Introverted. And a friend to everyone. Genuinely," wrote Grimmie. "But above all...she was my baby sister."

Grimmie shared photos of his sister and encouraged others to do the same and comment with their favorite memories of Christina.

Marcus, who is also a musician, was with his sister when the gunman, Kevin James Loibl, opened fire while she was signing autographs after her concert. Marcus tackled Loibl, who shot and killed himself in the struggle.

"[It is] unknown what his plans were for after killing Christina, but very heroic actions by Marcus to jump in, and definitely could have prevented further loss of life," said Orlando Police Chief John Mina during a press conference on Saturday.
