Christmas Miracle Reunites Girl Missing Seven Years in Non-Christian World

The top contentor of this year's No. 1 holiday miracle has got to be story of 15-year-old Wati of Indonesia, who through pluck and what sounds like sheer fortune was returned to her parents after going missing seven years ago in the devastating tsunami. At eight, Wati was swept away from her mother in the waters of the devastating 2004 tsunami in Indonesia -- and like the approximately 37,000 other missing Indonesians, her family presumed she had died, the AP and Antara News report. Then last week, a 15-year-old begging orphan mentioned that her grandfather's name was Ibrahim, a common Muslim name. Still, someone in the cafe brought her to a local Ibrahim, who thought the girl might be his granddaughter and in turn brought her to his daughter and son-in-law. " The two parents confirmed Wati`s identity after recognizing a small mole and a scar over her eyebrow that Wati got when she was six years old," according to Antara News. A Christmas Eve miracle can happen even to those who don't celebrate the holiday.
