Web Company Donates Online Volunteer Form and Social Media Services to the General Contractor of a Cleveland Family’s ‘Smart Home’
Cleveland, OH (PRWEB) October 20, 2010
Quickly after the location of the upcoming build was revealed, swarms of Cleveland-area residents sought out information on how to volunteer or donate to the upcoming build. Cleveland web design company WRIS Web Services was one step ahead of the game, as they had already created the volunteer sign-up form as an in-kind donation to Marous Brothers Construction. Recognizing the importance of spreading word about the build, WRIS also suggested rolling out a social media campaign through Facebook and Twitter. This campaign intended to increase awareness of the Extreme Makeover build, as well as provide updates and design needs throughout the week.
Between the launch of the campaign in mid-September to the “Move That Bus!” reveal in early October, the Marous Brothers Construction social media sites gathered 465 engaged followers. The positive energy surrounding the Anderson family’s build was evident through user comments. One volunteer stated, “Congratulations on a job well done! I was so impressed with how nice all of your crew was and also how hard they worked. It is really an amazing group of people and I'm glad that I had the opportunity to help.” Yet another commented, “I just have to say, Marous Brothers and all of the volunteers...AMAZING!!! Thank you for letting us be part of this wonderful experience.”
Other individuals had questions about where to sign up to volunteer, when they would be notified, and how to see photos from the daily events. A representative at WRIS was able to quickly respond to these questions, freeing up individuals from Marous Brothers Construction to focus on the huge task at hand: demolishing and rebuilding a home in just six short days.
WRIS Web Services was happy to assist Marous Brothers Construction on their journey through the Extreme Makeover: Home Edition process. Charlie Meyers, Founder and President of the Cleveland web design and development firm, stated, “It was great to be a part of such an exciting process. We love to stay involved with Cleveland businesses, small and large, and this seemed like the perfect way to do it. Any time we can share our expertise for a family like the Andersons, we are thrilled to do so.”
