    Premier UK search marketing agency, Click Consult, have announced they are currently reviewing the potential impact of Google's new social network on the next generation in digital marketing.

    The recent launch of Google+ has spurred the research and development team at Click Consult into overdrive. They are currently reviewing aspects of the new social network which could be integrated into current and future online marketing strategies and how it might impact on search marketing as a whole. Although Google+ is currently still in a testing phase with limited numbers of users having access, it is expected to be fully open to sign ups in the coming weeks and months.

    Click Consult believe that Google's intentions in creating Google+ were multifarious, with two prime reasons standing out – to directly challenge Facebook's grip on social-media and to generate its own platform that can be used to closely monitor social signals. Click Consult also believe that the latter will directly influence internet marketing campaigns in the future, with Google's results pages being directly influenced by Google+ activity.

    The results of the review are scheduled to be published on their internet marketing blog in the coming weeks.

    "At Click Consult we approach our work with an innovative and dynamic ideology, and that means we need to be ahead of the curve when it comes to digital marketing techniques and strategies. As soon as we learned about the launch of the Google+ social network, we immediately set our research & development team to work on ways it can be used to improve the services we offer our clients," said Matt Bullas, managing director of Click Consult. "Already, it seems that the genesis of this Google social project can be attributed to their desire to challenge Facebook and its current domination of social networking. Also, perhaps more importantly, Google have devised a platform that allows them to precisely monitor social activity – such as the actual content being shared, for example. This is likely to influence their results pages, and therefore our research is being conducted in the light of utilising this new medium for the benefit of our clients."
