Colorado Boy Scout Master Arrested for Child Porn
A Scout Master for a boy scout troop in the Parker, Colo., area has been arrested for sexual exploitation of a child, the Parker Police Department announced on Wednesday. The announcement came as a Douglas County High School teacher was reportedly arrested for sexual exploitation of a child and days after a Douglas County sheriff's deputy was arrested following an investigation into inappropriate text messages with a juvenile. * According to the Parker Police Department, detectives with the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force began an investigation into possession and distribution of child pornography at a home in Parker.
* On Tuesday, detectives accompanied officers of the Parker Police Department and members of the Arapahoe County Sheriff's Office and the Douglas County Pattern Crimes Unit to execute a search warrant on the home. A number of items were seized during the search, the police department reported, including digital images of unknown child victims.
* Brian David Robbins, 30, is believed to be the person responsible for possessing and distributing the child pornography, the police department reported, and he was arrested and booked on two counts of sexual exploitation of a child. He is currently being held in the Douglas County Detention Facility on a $50,000 bond.
* Robbins is reportedly a Scout Master of an area troop.
* Also on Tuesday, the Douglas County Sheriff's Office arrested 26-year-old Timothy Martini of Castle Rock for two counts of sexual exploitation of a child and a count of contributing to the delinquency of a minor. Martini is being held on a $50,000 bond.
* Martini worked as a teacher at Douglas County High School, the sheriff's office reported. The case has been sealed and no further information is available.
* According to Denver's 9News , a letter to parents of Douglas County High School students from the principal, Anthony Kappas, stated that Martini has been placed on administrative leave.
* Last week, a Douglas County Sheriff's deputy was arrested for inappropriate text messages involving a juvenile. He was charged with two counts of sexual exploitation of a child and placed on unpaid administrative leave while the investigation continued.
* On Monday, the sheriff's office identified that deputy as Robert M. French, and announced that French's employment with the department had been terminated for department policy violations and alleged criminal conduct. He was also being held on a $50,000 bond.
