Colorado Christian University revives birth control lawsuit

DENVER (AP) -- Colorado Christian University is reviving its lawsuit challenging the new health care law.

The school filed its renewed lawsuit Wednesday in Denver. The lawsuit challenges the requirement of coverage of certain contraceptive methods the school says violate its religious beliefs.

The university in Lakewood first filed the lawsuit in 2011. A judge dismissed the lawsuit, telling the school to wait for the federal government to issue new regulations to accommodate religious objections of employers like the university.

A lawyer representing the university says the new regulations issued in June do not address the school's concern.
