Chefs Club, the restaurant where Food & Wine will host a curated selection of visiting chefs throughout the year, is getting close to opening in the Puck Building. The project, which has been in the works since last September, is a spinoff of the Chefs Club that the food magazine opened two years ago, and will work the same way. Food & Wine will choose prominent chefs from around the country to sign on for a stint at the restaurant, where they will create and serve their own a la carte menu. As those chefs rotate through, Adour vet Didier Elena will oversee the day to day in the kitchen.

Grub Street reports that Food & Wine's editor-in-chief Dana Cowin has already picked her first four chefs for the New York Chefs Club, and they're all impressive. Lachlan Mackinnon-Patterson of Colorado's Frasca Food and Wine is up first, followed by Gabriel Rucker of Portland's Le Pigeon, Linton Hopkins of Holeman & Finch in Atlanta, and Erik Anderson, formerly of the Catbird Seat in Nashville. Details and dates should become available in just a few weeks, and then it's only a matter of time until the restaurant actually opens.
