A comprehensive guide to repairing the iPhone 6 all by yourself

Normally, Apple’s products prioritize lightness and thinness over repairability and the devices are often loaded with strangely designed screws and glued-in batteries. But this time iFixit found that the device was surprisingly easy to fix on your own, provided you have the right tools and know-how. To celebrate this monumental achievement, iFixit has put out the most comprehensive self-repair guide for the iPhone 6 that we’ve seen yet and it will hopefully ensure that you never have to take your device to the Apple Store if it’s in need of a fix.

Per 9to5Mac, the guide consists of 21 different sections that tell you how to take out and replace various iPhone 6 parts, including the device’s battery, its front-facing camera, its rear-facing camera, its front panel, its power button, its volume control and much, much more. The guide also gives you a list of different tools you’ll need to conduct different repairs, such as tweezers, suction cups, plastic opening tools and Phillips screwdrivers.
