ConAgra Foods reports 1Q earnings on Thursday

OMAHA, Neb. (AP) — Packaged food company ConAgra Foods will report on its fiscal first-quarter earnings Thursday morning.

Investors will be looking to see how well ConAgra is handling higher costs for ingredients, packaging and fuel during this quarter.

The maker of Healthy Choice, Banquet, Marie Callender's and other branded food products has had to raise prices in the past to deal with cost increases.

The Omaha-based ConAgra is one of the nation's largest food makers and its results show what the industry is facing.

ConAgra has made several acquisitions in the past year, including the $267 million deal for the Bertolli and P.F. Chang's frozen food businesses that ConAgra completed in August.
