Connecticut university sounds 'all clear' after bomb threat

BOSTON (Reuters) - Four buildings were briefly evacuated at Western Connecticut State University in Danbury on Friday afternoon after an emailed bomb threat, and all were cleared after being checked by police bomb-sniffing dogs, officials said. "All buildings at both the Midtown and Westside campuses have returned to normal operation," the university said on its web site. (Reporting by Richard Valdmanis)
