Contractors Are Still Partying on the Job in Kabul

While the war in Afghanistan continues, so too does the contractor partying. Today ABC News has posted exclusive video (below) showing two security men from Jorge Scientific getting wasted in Kabul, one of whom appears to be high on Ketamine. The grainy cell phone recording is from earlier this year, say ABC's Cindy Galli, Rhonda Schwartz and Brian Ross, proving that the private security company scandals of years past haven't stopped the tax-payer funded partying. (This particular contractor has almost $1 billion in U.S. government contracts.) In 2009, Mother Jones told us all about the "Animal House" in Afghanistan that consisted of "drunken brawls, prostitutes, hazing and humiliation, taking vodka shots out of buttcracks." For our visual learners, Gawker had photo evidence (buttcracks included!) of the antics.

The two contractors below don't seem quite as whimsical as our wildin' out security guards of yesteryear—neither of them are wearing coconut shell bras, for example. But still, in their condition they probably couldn't respond to a terrorist attack at a moment's notice, which is a part of their job. They also, of course, broke General Order Number One, which prohibits contractors from drinking or doing drugs. "It was like a frat house for adults," John Melson, a former contractor that worked with these men told ABC. "Some of them to the point where they were passing out, there's firearms laying around, some of them still carrying the firearms on them."
