Cook: You’ll use the Apple Watch so much, you’ll have to charge it daily
Apple CEO Tim Cook on Monday reminded the audience during an interview at the WSJ.D conference in Laguna Beach, California, about Apple’s excitement around the upcoming Apple Watch, confirming that it’ll probably require daily charging.

“I give Jony and his team incredible credit here, because they saw something you wear has to be personal…it can’t be geeky,” Cook said, noting that not just tech people are interested in the gadget.
The Apple Watch was Cook’s “one more thing” announcement during the iPhone 6 event, but the company did not mention one crucial thing about the device during the show, and that’s battery life. Reports that followed the keynote revealed the Apple Watch will need nightly battery charging, as Apple has not figured out how to extend the battery life of the device just yet.
The device is supposed to launch in multiple versions at some point in early 2015.
Even though Cook did not reveal actual details about the Watch at WSJ.D, he did say the device will need daily charging, explaining that you’ll need to recharge it that often as you’ll be using it very much.
“We think people are going to use it so much you will end up charging it daily,” Cook said. At the same time, he said that Apple is still learning about how people are using the watch.
This particular comment seems to be in line with what Cook said a few days ago while he was visiting China. During an interview he said that once people start using the Apple Watch, they’ll start wondering how they were ever able to live without one.
