Craig Ferguson Signs TV Deal With Lionsgate

Craig Ferguson and his production company, Green Mountain West, have entered into a multi-year overall television agreement with Lionsgate. Ferguson will develop and produce scripted and unscripted programming, working with Green Mountain’s president Phil Cottone and former The Late Late Show producer Michael Naidus.

The announcement comes on the heels of the Season 2 pickup of Ferguson-hosted Celebrity Name Game, which is co-produced by Lionsgate-owned Debmar-Mercury and FremantleMedia North America. It also comes on the heels of news Tribune Broadcasting had thrown in the towel on plans to launch a Ferguson-hosted nightly talk show in the fall, after Tribune and Debmar-Mercury failed to line up enough clearances in key markets.
