Cricket: McCullum expects to get rotated in and out

Nathan McCullum expects to return to the Black Caps playing XI for tomorrow's third and final one-day international against South Africa in Hamilton.

The off-spinner was left out of the side for the second ODI in Mt Maunganui, with the fit again Daniel Vettori the only spinner in New Zealand's XI.

McCullum says he expects to be rotated in and out of the side during the summer.

"We all looked at the schedule over the next three or four months leading up to the World Cup and there's that many games of cricket that no one's probably going to play every single game just purely and simply for the fact that there's too many games and you'll get worn out."

McCullum says he's happy to have Daniel Vettori back in the Black Caps, even if it may limit his opportunities.

"To have his knowledge about is great for me personally. He's a good mate of mine and it's fantastic to have him around and bounce ideas off and also the other guys, they still learn a lot off someone who's played as much cricket as he has."

The New Zealand side will be named shortly before the toss.
