‘Criminal’ Trailer: Kevin Costner Is The Right Man In The Wrong Body
How’s this for a high-concept thriller? A dead CIA operative’s memories, secrets and skills are implanted into a former death row inmate in hopes that he can complete a mission to foil a diabolical plot. Kevin Costner is your implantee: in and out of prison half his life, no impulse control and “unable to calculate the consequences of his actions.” The result is a series of violent car crashes, huge explosions, intense gunplay — and a little spark with the wife of the late spy.
Costner reteams with his JFK castmates Gary Oldman and Tommy Lee Jones a quarter-century later, along with Gal Godot and Ryan Reynolds — with the trailer timed to draft off of the latter’s Deadpool bow. Ariel Vromen directed from a script by Douglas Cook & David Weisberg. Lionsgate has an April 15 release date for the film, which is billed as Summit Entertainment and Millennium Films present a Benderspink production and Millennium Films production and a Campbell Grobman Films production.
