Curbside bus companies shut down by government

WASHINGTON (AP) — Twenty-five curbside bus companies and a bus ticket seller were shut down by the Department of Transportation this week in what federal officials say is the government's largest single safety crackdown of the motor coach industry. The companies transported about 1,800 passengers a day along Interstate 95 between New York and Florida, officials said.
