Current for Facebook for Mac lets you use Facebook, without having to open a Web browser or worry about missing important notifications. Through this app, you'll get everything you want from Facebook without the things you don't.
Pros
Multiple interactions: When you're chatting with someone using this app, the chat opens in a separate window that you can move independently of the main screen. Each new chat you start will also have its own window, which makes it much easier to keep track of multiple conversations at the same time while also keeping an eye on your feed. You can also pop videos out of the feed into a separate window for viewing.
Quicker alerts: Rather than having to go back to your browser tab every time you want to check for new activity or notifications, you can see right from the icon in the dock whenever there's something new that's worth your attention. You can also decide how you want to be alerted of new notifications.
Cons
No Help: There is no Help file associated with this program. The Help menu contains several items, but none of them actually provide any insight on how to use or get the most out of the app.
Bottom Line
Current for Facebook is a good tool if you frequently use Facebook to chat with friends, without being tied to your browser. However, it doesn't offer much in the way of guidance.
