PRAGUE (AP) — The Czech football federation says it is scheduled to host the United States in an international friendly in Prague on Sept. 3 as a warmup for 2016 European Championship qualifying.

The Czech federation announced the game Monday. The U.S. Soccer Federation has not yet confirmed the match.

The Czechs open qualifying against the Netherlands six days later.

Czech Republic coach Pavel Vrba said he chose to play the United States because of the team's attacking style under coach Jurgen Klinsmann. Vrba said "we will be tested by an offensive opponent who wants to attack. We expect from them a similar style as the Netherlands."

The United States is winless in three matches against the Czech Republic.
