The Los Angeles Kings reached an agreement with restricted free-agent defenseman Slava Voynov on a new contract, the team announced Tuesday.
The deal is for six years and $25 million, according to multiple reports,
Voynov, a 23-year-old Russian, tied for the team lead in goals during the playoffs with six, including four game-winners, and in points with 13. During the regular season, he had six goals and 19 assists in 48 games to leads Kings defensemen.
The Kings' cap hit will be $4.17 million next season for Voynov, a second-round draft pick in 2008. He has 14 career goals and 45 points in 102 regular-season games and seven goals and 16 points in the postseason.
