    What to Do in Dallas-Fort Worth This Weekend: March 8-10, 2013

    For many people in Dallas, this weekend is the beginning of spring. It's time to start home improvement projects, break out the golf clubs, and work in the garden. Many of the things to do around Dallas-Fort Worth this weekend, March 8-10, reflect the warmer weather, but there are some indoor activities for those who think it's still a little chilly outside.

    Denton Radio on the Square

    Denton Radio will be hosting a full lineup of live bands during 35 Denton this weekend. The station, which is committed to promoting local music, is hosting a full four days of music. Bands will take the stage, which will be in front of the Denton County Court House, beginning at 2 p.m. (Friday) and noon (Saturday and Sunday). The music will end about 9:45 p.m. each night.

    Big 12 Women's Basketball Championship

    Through Monday, March 11, various times

    American Airlines Center

    The American Airlines Center will host the 2013 Phillips 66 Big 12 Women's Basketball Championship. With tickets starting at just $27.50 for a game, this is a great chance to take the family and see some excellent college basketball. Baylor enters the tournament with the top seed.

    Dallas Arboretum

    Dallas Blooms, which is perhaps the Dallas Arboretum's most popular exhibit every year, opened on March 2. While the flowers will be on display through April 7, this weekend is the first chance many people will have to see them.
