Dancing With The Stars a ratings waltz

Dancing With The Stars waltzed straight into the top 10 most watched shows on Tuesday night.

The 14th season of Dancing With The Stars launched with all 11 celebrities taking to the floor in a marathon 150 minute episode.

The Seven Network reality series was sixth on OzTAM's overnight ratings with 1.040 million viewers.

It was a credible start given the ratings reflect the average number of viewers across the entire episode.

Dancing With The Stars was also up against the Nine Network's The Block Glasshouse, which was first with 1.184 million, and an eviction on Nine's Big Brother.

Big Brother, though, took a big hit with the eviction of Katie Schepis landing in 14th spot with an audience of 617,000.

It was Big Brother's second lowest five-city figure this series and there were also 79,000 fewer viewers than last Tuesday's controversial eviction of Gemma Kinghorn.
