Another round of individual and team dances may have rocked the ballroom floor, but Week 8 of Dancing With the Stars can only be summed up in a single star-studded word: Cher!

The show-business legend took the stage (performing “Believe” and “I Hope You Find It”) and wielded the power of the paddle (as a guest judge), while our fearless couples danced to a string of the ageless diva’s most memorable hits (the remix of “Bang Bang” especially rocked). Let’s high-kick right to the highlights:

DANCE OF THE NIGHT Brant Daugherty’s fox trot was utterly glitter-tastic (scoring a string of 9’s), while Jack Osbourne’s powerful, terrific tango was so dynamically sexy, Cher likened Ozzy’s little boy to a “fabulous” pimp! But here’s the top dance of the night:

Amber Riley & Derek Hough: In a steamy, sex-sational rumba that began with the Glee star ferociously ripping off Derek’s shirt, Amber utterly dominated the dance and then bared her soul (“this is the best experience I could ever ask for!”) after a performance that not only garnered the sole perfect 10 of the night (from Bruno Tonioli) but also the top overall score (28) and thus, a free ticket to dance next week. “You said you were gonna walk in here all sexy,” said Cher, in one of her more animated comments of the night. “You did that…I thought it was fabulous!”

RUNNER-UP: With crucial bonus points at stake, tonight’s dance-off challenge was pressure-packed and kept the show’s last half hour simmering. Corbin’s cha cha was clean, tight and a sheer delight, helping him nail down 3 bonus points from the judges.

But now for the moment of truth, tonight’s results:

“I’ve learned something I never thought I’d be able to learn in my life,” said a stunned Brant, as his eyes welled up with tears and boos rained down from unhappy fans in the crowd. “I’m just very, very grateful for the opportunity.” Added a gracious but equally disappointed Peta: “He’s just an amazing guy, I’ve just had the best time this season…thank you so much for making every day a pleasure.”

Now it’s your turn. Did the right couple go home tonight? How did Cher do as a guest judge? Sound off in the comments!
