Daniel Craig's Star Wars: The Force Awakens Cameo Revealed

The talk of Daniel Craig having a mystery cameo in ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ appears to be true… but who is he?

Well, it turns out he donned the iconic white armour of a Stormtrooper, though which one he is may remain a secret.

Craig was filming 'Spectre’ at the same time as J.J. Abrams was making 'The Force Awakens’ at Pinewood Studios in Buckinghamshire, and must have nipped over to the Lucasfilm soundstage to make the transformation from 007 to First Order henchman.

Speaking to the Daily Mail, a source at Disney said: “You’re close to the truth. Nothing can be said on the record, because it will be denied.”

“They concocted the cameo together,” the source added.

“I don’t know which scene it is but yes, it does involve Daniel playing a stormtrooper, because they wear helmets and for the most part they’re anonymous.”

It’s thought that the scene in which Craig dons the armour is at the beginning of the movie, when the troopers storm a village.

Craig is among a few famous names who made disguised cameos in the film.

Simon Pegg also donned an elaborate costume for a small part in the film – he’s chums with J.J. Abrams from the 'Star Trek’ movies.

It’s also thought that British music producer Nigel Godrich, best known for his work with Radiohead, is also a stormtrooper in the movie.

Meanwhile, it’s emerged that 'Trainwreck’s Bill Hader and 'Park and Recreation’ star Ben Schwarz were the 'vocal consultants’ for new droid BB-8.
