Daniel Radcliffe Admits He’s Jealous Of Eddie Redmayne In Fantastic Beasts

While the role Daniel Radcliffe played in the ‘Harry Potter franchise can surely never be equalled, that’s not stopped the 26-year-old revealing he’s envious of Eddie Redmayne in ‘Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them’.

Specifically, it’s his costume that Radcliffe - the once child actor that shot to global fame over 15 years ago as Harry Potter - has his eye on.

“Oh f**k you, Eddie, in your brilliant costume,” he told NME. Obviously joking, he went on to have a friendly pop at the Oscar-winner: “I got jeans and a zip top for 10 years and you’ve got a great coat already?”

We’re pretty certain that Radcliffe, while holding the Potter universe close to his heart, doesn’t actually want to appear in the spin-off film (not to mention it’s set 70 years before ‘Harry Potter’) but wasn’t too fond of the clothes he had to wear during his time on the films.

The former boy wizard did admit it felt weird that the same fantasy world was continuing without him, but at the same time said he’s “happy for it to go on without me.”

What’s more, Radcliffe is really excited about seeing it because, for the first time in the series, he’s not going to be in it.

‘Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them’ is in UK cinemas on 18 November, 2016.
