As Thursday approaches, American's have one thing on their mind: Turkey and the accompanying delicious Thanksgiving meal. In 2013, around 46 million Turkey's were consumed on Thanksgiving, dwarfing the number consumed on Christmas or Easter. Over 200 million birds were raised in the United States last year, with Minnesota serving as a home for 20% of those turkeys. Even though the price of turkey is down 6.54% from last year, the average Thanksgiving meal for 10 is expected to cost 70 cents more; so be sure to be thankful for the turkey that you do have.
