    Davcon Relocation Services was Just Named “Mover of the Month” by Move for Hunger

    Davcon Relocation Services was just named “Mover of the Month” by Move for Hunger. Move for Hunger (http://www.moveforhunger.org) is a non-profit organization that aims to end hunger in the United States. By partnering with 155 moving companies in 37 states, Move for Hunger works to supply the nation’s food banks.

    Davcon Relocation Services was just named “Mover of the Month” by Move for Hunger. Move for Hunger (http://www.moveforhunger.org) is a non-profit organization that aims to end hunger in the United States. By partnering with 155 moving companies in 37 states, Move for Hunger works to supply the nation’s food banks. To date, they have collected of 330,000 lbs of food for food banks across the country. 1 in 6 people struggle to find their next meal, and 1 in 7 Americans move every year. That’s when Move for Hunger steps in. The moving companies that Move for Hunger is partnered with ask families for nonperishable goods that would otherwise be discarded during the move. The moving company then donates their time to drop the food at food banks.

    Davcon lets their customers know about their partnership with Move for Hunger, and ask if they have any nonperishable food items or canned goods that they would like to donate. While the customers pack for the move, they donate the items, and Davcon gets them where they need to go. Davcon was recognized because, to date, they have collected over 973 lbs of food for Ephrata Area Social Services, which means more than 748 meals have been provided to Americans in need. In July, Davcon received an incredible 400 lb. donation of food.
