    Dean Cain: Todd Palin 'Was An Animal' On Stars Earn Stripes

    Todd Palin may have appeared on reality television before - on "Sarah Palin's Alaska" - but this summer's "Stars Earn Stripes" has shown a new side of the Alaskan to America, as well as his castmates like Dean Cain.

    "Todd Palin was an animal," Dean told Billy Bush and Kit Hoover on Tuesday's Access Hollywood Live , about the celeb who surprised him the most on the NBC show. "He really was amazing."

    Over the show's run, which has featured celebrities competing with military and law enforcement members in combat style challenges, Todd has kept his cool as he took out targets, and showed an incredible amount of support for teammates who felt disappointment after struggling on challenges.

    "He's the quiet assassin. He's so steady," Dean continued, praising Todd. "In the middle of it all, things go crazy, and you'll see that in next week's episode... Some people react well [under pressure]. All the ops are just, I think their blood pressure drops... but Todd is kind of always in that zone. He's a real guy."

    Dean, who has been tackling the challenges on "Stars Earn Stripes" for the benefit of the Wounded Warrior Project, said next week's show - the finale of the series - features some stunts that left his own heart racing.

    "We're scaling a 75-foot cargo net over the ocean with all our gear on [in the finale], and if you fall, there's no safety line, there's no nothing. You're probably not going to be conscious when you hit the water, so some guys are going to have to get in there and get you because that's a real big fall, and that sort of stuff happens and you just go, 'Don't fall,'" Dean said of how he stayed on point in the challenge.

    The two-hour season finale of "Stars Earn Stripes" airs Monday, September 3, at 8/7c on NBC.
