    Debbie Reynolds plans new memoir, 'Unsinkable'

    NEW YORK (AP) — Debbie Reynolds must have thought she'd said it all in her memoir a quarter-century ago.

    But now she's got plenty more to share, including her tale of betrayal by her third husband that left the film legend divorced anew, not to mention financially bankrupt.

    William Morrow publishers said Tuesday that Reynolds will release her tell-all tome, titled "Unsinkable," next year.

    In the book, Reynolds will revisit important moments of her life as an actress during Hollywood's Golden Age. She also will re-examine the scandalous end of her first marriage in 1959 when singer Eddie Fisher left her for their best friend, superstar Elizabeth Taylor, said William Morrow.

    At 79, Reynolds continues to perform in a one-woman show and make television appearances.

      I saw Ms. Reynold's Vegas Show the day after daughter Carrie married Paul Simon. As she was singing, she toured the floor and stopped at our table before returning to the stage. What a classy Lady !! That was the highlight of the night, and one I'll remember long after I enter the nursing home. LOL

      Debbie was/is such a great actress, I loved watching her in those old movies, she has so much talent, class and respectability. Nothing like todays so-called actresses. Her book should make for very interesting reading.

        Liz and Debbie called a truce a long time ago. Debbie even visited Liz in the hospital before her death and told her that it was OK to let go. She spoke of Liz in a couple of TV interviews after Taylors death and told a story of them both coming to the same conclusion that Eddie Fisher was not all that any way, and too much of a putz to come between their friendship. So the only bad thing of this whole mess is her daughter Carrie. She is a drunken snot that should be committed before she screws up even more peoples lives.

      Debbie is still remarkable in so many ways. I saw her show in North Hollywood twice in 2010 and when she first walked out on stage she was breathtaking. Easily the most thoroughly entertaining 1-woman show I have ever seen. Singing, dancing, joke telling, chatting about her personal life, her family, her marriages, on & on, all without dancers, flashing lights, blasting music, elaborate sets, just the inimitable Debbie Reynolds being personal & intimate with her audience. Debbie loves her fans. She came out after the show to meet her fans, have pictures taken, chat. I really respect & admire the way she treats her fans with such dignity & respect. She is beyond a show business legend, she is a lady of the highest quality, has such great class & finesse, such polished manners, and is so very cool in every way you could imagine. I just love Debbie Reynolds. I cannot wait to read her new book. I have a feeling this one will be a little, shall we say... jucier...than the last one, which was many years ago. It's time for a Debbie update!

      and unbelieveable talented worman took me by storm in
      What I feel it the greatest hit of all time Singing in the Rain
      at a very young age I sat through it twice it was the first appreance in the area when I left the theater it started
      raining an on the way home did the famous dance of Gene
      Kelly in the rain. Now 75 Iam still much in love with
      Debbie I have her movie and also receive motiviation from
      wonderful movie Usinkable Molly Brown, enjoy the movie
      Susan slept here. Debbie would Love to meet you in
      person just to restate all the above.

      She's probably tired of hearing how horrible she is from the performances of her daughter, Carrie Fisher, and wants to set the record straight. Luckily she has twice the class of her daughter and is still much more beautiful.

      She is unsinkable. Best friend and husband betrayed her. Rare for one to turn on you, and the other can console you. She was stabbed in the back by both of them. I remember one time Carrie Fisher was on a talk show and some jerk asked her about Liz. She stared daggers at him and said next question.
