Defendant: Slain Vegas dancer was clingy, violent

LAS VEGAS (AP) — A former Las Vegas Strip dancer says the ex-girlfriend he's charged with killing was "clingy" and violent toward him in the months leading to her death.

Jason Omar Griffith took the witness stand Wednesday after two other men testified that Deborah Flores Narvaez had a violent streak.

Griffith testified that his relationship with Flores escalated quickly, and that she became possessive and sometimes physically combative after they became intimate.

Jurors heard 911 calls of a domestic dispute Griffith reported during an argument with Flores in March 2010. Griffith testified that the two reconciled shortly afterward.

Griffith maintains he was defending himself when Flores died in a physical struggle at his house eight months later, in December 2010.

Griffith is accused of trying to dispose Flores' remains in tubs of cement.
