Delaware cop shakes off troubles to Taylor Swift tune

This cop can’t stop, won’t stop grooving.

Sometimes songstress Taylor Swift strings together lyrics that really hit home for listeners — whether they are teen girls or veteran police officers.

The Dover Police Department in Delaware posted a video of Master Cpl. Jeff Davis rocking out to Swift’s empowerment hit “Shake It Off,” while patrolling in his police cruiser.

“While reviewing dashcam footage, we come across some interesting sights to say the least,” the department explained on Facebook. “We decided we would share some with you in a new web series called ‘Dash Cam Confessionals.’ We hope you enjoy this...and Taylor Swift if you're watching...we're sorry.”

Hey, everyone has haters to shake off.

At 1:19, Davis presumably notices someone on the street, waves, and puts on a serious face. Seconds later, after checking to make sure the coast is clear, he’s back to bobbing his head and laying on the sass.

The video has been seen nearly 310,000 times on the department’s official YouTube channel.

Police say it was shot in a parking lot at idle speeds.

It was not immediately clear whether Davis knew he was being recorded. When asked on Facebook, a department spokesperson wrote, “We’ll never tell…”

Dover Police did not immediately return Yahoo News’ call to comment on the video.
