Dentist accused of paper clip use in root canals

As a dental professional, I can state w/ complete confidence there are more cases where I'd rather have a paper clip for a dental post in my mouth than a stainless steel post.

Jeez, is he the brother to the Kansas City pharmacist that watered down the cancer drugs? There are just a few people I distain to such an intense point that I'd spit on them if I ever met them in public. That pharmacist and this dentist are two of them. Their level of greed is beyond disgusting.

The economy is bad but not bad enough for this idiot to do what he did. He should lose his license and go to jail end of story..... Innocent people get hurt cause of jerks like him.

Paper clips? This dentist needs prison and permanent revocation of his license. Every paper clip will rust and every tooth lost.

I'm reading this article from my dental school class. We take hours upon hours of classes to learn how to correctly perform a root canal and then use a post to retain the crown needed afterwards. I don't get how some people, after paying all this money for school and spending all this time in class and studying, somehow decide it wasn't worth squat and just start cutting corners when we're outta here.

Luckily for the patients the paper clip tray was closer to the dentist's chair than the stapler.

Speaking as a working dentist, this is embarassing to our profession. All of the dentist that I know are hard working individuals and would never compromise the integrity of their work or the health of their patients to save a little cash. Embarassing and sickening. Morals can't be taught, they have to be instilled in one self through self conviction and a sense of responsibility.

Notice he gets prosecuted for fraud only, not the shoddy work.

This type of activity is criminal. He should lose his license to EVER practice in any state, spend considerable time in jail, and subjected to civil lawsuits by all the he did this to. This is bullshirt. He didn't do this to save money, he did it to steal money....from patients, insurance companies and the Federal government.

Greedy dentist, paper clips how cheap, are his colleagues being investigated, don't tell me know one knew, his assistant, there's got to be more.

Jeez paper clips? I can understand cost cutting, but how much could he have saved compared to what it's costing him now. I work for doctors doing medical billing, you wouldn't believe the things they try to get away with. I just look at them an say...is it worth going to prison for? They do get pizzed at me, but they do the right thing in the end. I worked for one practice that was billing dead people. They would try to send in consultation charges. I told them..you can't bill for a consult if the patient has no heartbeat, or blood pressure. If people want to know why are healthcare is in shambles, look at what doctors bill for. The fraud is rampant. Billing for a 45 minute office visit when the patient was in there 10 minutes at best. I refuse to bill fraud claims. I put the patient acct on their desk and tell, nope I won't bill that code, your records prove the patient wasn't seen for this level of coding. I've been fired from jobs because I refuse to cheat.

I thought he looked familiar, he is a regular here at Staples.
