Denver man convicted of killing 3-year-old child

DENVER (AP) — A Denver jury has found a man guilty of murder, child abuse and abuse of a corpse in the death of his girlfriend's 3-year-old daughter, whose body was found in a trash bag.

Twenty-six-year-old Angel Montoya was found guilty Monday in the 2007 death of Neveah Gallegos.

KMGH-TV reports (http://bit.ly/ISdf0r ) Montoya faces life in prison.

Prosecutors say he killed Neveah while her mother was at work, and that the couple made up a story that the girl had been kidnapped.
