Detroit Children's Museum closes doors again

Sad, instead of having solid schools, discipline and two parent families. This Black Ghetto city would rather entertain it's children, than educate them properly.

Unfortunately Detroit, a once thriving city is now nothing more than a waste land according to a recently moved family who more or less ''escaped'' the misery and broken down economy there. A city dominated by unions helped drive manufacturing companies overseas. We all know it. And, they're still hanging on to their power. But like the businesses they infected, so will they run out of power when there are no more jobs they can loot.

detroit! a prime example of a once great city that has been run by democrats and now has been abandoned by the whites!

The root of the problem is the "liberal's" "War on Poverty." It destroyed the black family, b/c they couldn't get the free stuff if there was a husband in the house. Having a husband and father became a liability to a black family. The result was a devastating blow to the self-esteem of the black man. THANKS, LIBS!!! Your ideas have worked like a charm...

My mother's entire family was born and raised in Detroit. I remeber visiting there when I was a kid, when it was just starting to get really bad. Lyndon Johnson' policies of social welfare pretty much doomed it as far back as the 60s. Now, it's a war zone...

Just raze the entire city to the ground and turn it back into farm land, Detroit is a living example of what liberalism does ...

Yet we give billions to other countries and illegals.

Great idea for such a thing but location , location, location. WHo wants to go near or through a dead city of union socialism made failures city. Most rather just avoid stupidity first than have to go through that to see a museum

Maybe they can borrow money from Solyndra. I hear they have 537 million taxpayer dollars that Obama gave them right before they went bankrupt.

All the museum is looking for is another federal handout. Sorry, but the county is broke.

Dems have squeezed every dime out of Detroit. It is dead.

After all you Union Bashers get back from shopping at Wal-Mart, face reality and understand Unions BUILT DETROIT, they did not destroy it! That honor goes to black blight! Plain and simple!

We don't need science in this country, so close it down permanently if the parents don't want to provide the needed financial support. Corporate America ravaged the City and then left it to die after they took all that they could take.

See what happens when you run legitimate businesses out of your neighborhood with taxes and crooked union workers. You thought they couldn't find anyone else to put that bolt on that car as good as you, Looks like they can. Now your unused museum is closed, who cares.

Hopefully not until all the children were inside.

We can give trillions to the pentagon and military to fight wars for oil but nothing for our children's education.

Detroit is done. Full of blacks and muslims. It will never recover.
