Dice Holdings names BrightLine leader as new chief financial officer

NEW YORK (AP) -- Dice Holdings Inc. said Monday that it has named John Roberts as its new chief financial officer.

He succeeds Michael Durney, who became the company's president and CEO last month.

Dice Holdings, based in New York, provides specialized websites for professional communities, including technology, engineering, financial services, energy, health care and security clearance.

Roberts, 47, worked most recently as chief financial officer of BrightLine, an interactive television advertising company. The company said that he has worked as the chief financial officer of three other companies as well.

The company's shares jumped 18 cents, or 2.1 percent, to $8.72 in afternoon trading. They have traded in a 52-week range of $7.89 to $10.43.
