Dinosaurs to roar back
Perth audiences can go Walking With Dinosaurs next year.
The animatronic reptiles will roam Perth Arena from April 17-19 when Walking With Dinosaurs - The Arena Spectacular returns for an Australian tour.
Pre-sales to the event start on Monday. Tickets for the general public go on sale through Ticketek from next Friday.
Based on the BBC television series, the show created by the Australian company Global Creatures has been seen by more than eight million people around the world.
The updated production features changes to the dinosaurs based on the latest scientific research, including the likely feathering of some species.
"Many of our creatures have 'evolved' since the last tour, now featuring distinctive display feathers, head crests and tail fans, reflecting recent discoveries about the physical nature of these massive creatures," Global Creatures chief executive Carmen Pavlovic said. The show has scenes of the interactions between 10 species of dinosaurs, how carnivorous dinosaurs evolved to walk on two legs, and how the herbivores fended off their more agile predators.
