Nowitzki went 11-19 (1-3 from three-point range) and 11-11 from the free throw line, in an efficient offensive performance. Other top contributors for Dallas included Jose Calderon with 14 points and 7 assists, and Brandan Wright with 10 points and 10 rebounds. Rudy Gay had another strong game for Sacramento despite the loss, putting up 35 points on 10-16 shooting from the field and 15-17 from the free throw line. He also added 12 rebounds and 6 assists. Isaiah Thomas added 19 points and 6 assists.
After putting up a sparkling assist-to-turnover ratio of 5.25, the Mavericks are 9-4 on the season when eclipsing 2.50 in this category. However, the Kings are winless (0-5) when allowing their opponents to achieve such a lofty ratio.
Sacramento (15-31) has now lost six in a row.
